Jazzyspoon

An electronic piece dedicated to the creativity of the ooTray forum. 12 minutes of gentle IDM style beats and abstractions.
An album length, gridless opus to document my escapism. This track, comprised of 10 individual tracks flowing in and out of each other, was originally made for and inspired by the artwork of Paul Booker.
Another album length track comprised of 8 abstract songs mixed into one another. Originally made for and inspired by the artwork of Joshua Felix.
A song made to imprint the sound of my voice on my yet to be born child.
A track made for the folks at ooTray and based on my novice work within Reaktor.
Capturing one of my ebbing moods in a single, free flowing recording.
Jazzyspoon (aka Jason Pottorff) is an experimental music artist in search of making the "anti-song that everybody will still want to listen to." While he hasn't quite conquered this dream, his musical endeavors often lead him (and potentially the listener) through bizarre hybrids of genre and style. Even after almost 20 years of writing, performing, and recording various musical projects, he still remains uninterested in gaining anything more than the personal experience, excitement, and expression found in documenting his life through the voice of music.
